So here is how it will work.. Read through these submissions and at the bottom of the page vote for the Mom you think is the most deserving! We will tally up the results to choose a Mom of the Year!

You may vote for more than one mom (as we understand it’s hard to pick just one!)

Brittany Culpepper

Brittany works full time running her own photography company, Sass and Soul, while also raising her precious three year old, Eli. Eli is on the autism spectrum so he requires many special doctors appointments, therapy sessions, toys, utensils, etc. All of this can be extremely draining, not to mention expensive for a single mom, but she still manages to give it her all and give Eli all of the love and support that he not only needs but deserves.

Kristina Mackenzie

My mom has held a career with the same employer for over 20 years to provide for her kids. She never complains and always made sure to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. She has been a single mother for 15 years and is the most selfless person in the world who deserves the moon.

We love you mom

Valerie McCormick

After two miscarriages she is finally about to celebrate her baby girls 1st birthday this month. In addition to being an amazing mom and wife, she is a passionate Speech Pathologist and is currently doing virtual therapy in addition to staying home with her sweet baby. She has her hands full but always shows up for her family and friends. She is such a wonderful hands-on mom and I admire her ability to raise a baby while still working from home, keep an immaculate home, make healthy dinners for her family, and keep in touch to check on me and my family as well. I’m so thankful to have her and her family in my family’s life.

She is more than deserving of being 2020 mom of the year.

Brittany Chandler

My mom has been through so much during the COVID pandemic. She is a travel agent and has lost all her clients during the shut down. She has worked so hard to make sure my brother, sister and myself could still enjoy our summer while being safe. She deserves a happy surprise because we don’t know when the world will feel like traveling consistently again and it breaks my heart knowing that her job is so dependent on this virus. She is the best mom that always finds the fun in every situation and does all she can for our family!

Pam Kelly

Pam is my mother in law. Her brother passed away during quarantine and as she was handling that, my father in law had back surgery in FWB. A week later he had a heart attack and has code twice in the hospital and has been there for 2 weeks now. She has not left his side. She is the strongest woman. She is so selfless and patient and calm. She loves and her ultimate passion is helping and doing for others. She is the most amazing woman! It would be the biggest blessing for her to win this so she can be taken care of and treated since she is always doing for others.

//Kelsey K.

Chelsea Mackenzie

After losing her job in the midst of COVID-19 when she was 32 weeks pregnant and has a 2 year old little girl and then giving birth to her son in may, all while her husband is self employed and had no work; she always kept a good spirit. She would always have the right words to keep your head up, even though she was clearly struggling. I’d love to give it back to this lovely lady, who deserves it while her family is still catching up from a couple months of struggling. She deserves it, for being an amazing inspiration to me and others but most importantly her children!

//Aden M.

Christi King

Christi has two beautiful children and a loving caring husband but has been struggling with her health. Her wellness issues are defeating which makes her feel less of a Mom. Never the less, she pushes through and she tries to not let her kids see her suffer. She most likely will never feel much better.

She needs a break.

Thank you for your consideration.

//Donna R.

Katie Malone

My wife Katie deserves to win the 2020 mom of the year award because she is a true super hero mom. She not only cares for our two kids with love and support she serves our community daily as she is a kids minister at Crosspoint Freeport. She also manages to go to school full time online to finish her dream of finally getting her bachelors all while being an amazing mom and wife.

She teaches our kids daily what it means to serve others, loves deeply, and never give up on your dreams.

//Tye M.

Jessica Troxel

Jessica is one of the hardest working people I know, let alone she is raising a son completely alone. She is one of the sweetest, kind hearted, selfless, caring, nurturing people I’ve ever met. She would do anything for anyone, especially for her sweet little boy!

//Whitney D.

Monica Jennings

This independent woman and single mother always puts her family, friends, and Community before herself. Devoted to her two boys and her faith, Monica, like many other amazing wondermoms, ask the Lord for nothing more than Strength to be able to provide and serve others. She has successfully focused on her career and spent half of her first childs life in and out of the hospital with seizures, brain surgery, and a stroke at the young age of 5, all the while, keeping such a positive outlook on life and being one of the biggest influences to me and many other mothers and young women.

I cannot speak highly enough of this epic mother, female, and friend.

//Hannah H.

Shelley Reifschneider

My mom deserves to win Mom of the Year for 2020 for so many reasons.  She has always been there for me, even on my darkest days.  She works day in and day out to have a steady income and support her family. She is the most selfless, strong willed, loving woman you will ever meet. She does everything in her power to keep everyone around here happy and I would do anything to show that same effort back to her.

//Lily R.

Linda Raya

Linda is my mother in law. She has 7 kids of her own. She calls those of us who have married into her family her in-loves. She’s super woman. Between homeschooling her 7th kid to watching her grandkids, she’s always there for all of us and helps support everyone. She manages her own air BnB and does the back office work for the family business.

She is always there for everyone and always ready to offer a kind word, prayer, or a helping hand.

//Caitlin R.

Cara Barton

Cara is my sister, who is a mom to her 3 little ones (2, 7 and 8 years old). She is a single mom working full time and is always ALWAYS doing things for others and never does anything for just herself. She has had a rough couple years getting used to the single mom life, and it seems like she never sleeps and never stops going and going. Her kids are her top priority.

I would love to see her win this amazing giveaway to show her that she is important and recognized as a great mom. She is the most deserving person I know!!!

Haley Smith

Haley and her husband welcomed their beautiful baby girl Lela just before the pandemic. A few weeks after her birth, Lela was diagnosed with some medical conditions and Haley put her first letting go of a job she had for years. Haley is an amazing mom who inspires me daily. I believe she deserves this because all the hurdles she’s been handed she has overcame with a smile on her face and so much love for her daughter.

//Gina H.

Kelly Gibertson

Kelly has a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old son. She’s an Army wife. Her day begins at 5:00 as she has her own business. She is also a marathon runner and pushes her double stroller to train! As I look back at the many things she’s been dealt with: a hurricane evacuation, a pandemic, endless doctor appointments, deaths in her and her husbands family… she holds her head high. Yes, I know there are many women who deserve this award, but Kelly stands out as an amazing, selfless soul who strives to give her children the best! Her family is first and she goes above and beyond to keep her husband posted about their children’s lives. He’s been overseas 7 months with a total of 5 deployments. In conclusion, Kelly rocks the Mom world and her kids love her to Infinity and Beyond!

Bethany Campbell

As my best friend, Bethany has taught me not only how to be a better mother, but a better human. As a nurse educator, she helps people learn and become the best version of themselves. As a mother, she gently guides her children and allows them to make their own mistakes while still helping them pick up the pieces afterward. Bethany has 3 beautiful children that are here with us and one that passed away shortly after he was born. Some people would push that down and try to forget it. Bethany celebrates that baby and in doing so shows us how beautiful the grieving process can be.  She turned tragedy into inspiration. You’ll get submissions for this award that tell you of women who do it all and Bethany does that, sure. But what you won’t get in other nominations is a woman who took the most devastating event that could happen to a family and turn it into a beautiful smile for the world.

//Heather B.

Donna Scott

She was a single mom our entire lives and she still supports us with everything. I definitely wouldn’t be the woman I am Today without her guidance and wisdom.

Francia Siers

Francia Siers grew up on a remote island in the Philippines. Her dream was to come to America. Her dream came true 24 years ago, with two toddlers in tow. She worked her tail off to provide for them all while learning English. Now, she has four more children and has built a thriving business with her husband. She kills it everyday and is always humble. Not only is she a mom to her children, but a matron to many in her community. She deserves acknowledgement.

//Beverly K.

Susie Shackelford

My mom, Susie, is so deserving of this award! Everyday she puts everyone ahead of herself and it never goes unnoticed. She deserves the world. She has a total of 6 kids(biological/step/adoption) and 14 grandchildren! Her day starts and ends with love and I couldn’t have asked for a better role model for myself and even my kiddos as well! No matter what life throws at her she handles it without any hesitation!

We love you so much Mom!!

//Hannah A.

Sandy Mooney

My mom has overcome so many obstacles in her life. Not only did she raise my brother & I by herself but she took on the responsibility of raising our cousin without any help. She is a Jesus loving, caregiving, mother of a lifetime who would give the shirt off her back if someone needed it. This year especially she has been my rock. She has helped me make it through pharmacy school, helped me plan my wedding, and helped guide me through motherhood myself.

She is more than deserving of the world and I hope to someday be half the woman she is.

//Ashley M.

Stephanie Lukevich

My wife deserves to win 2020 Mom of the Year for so many reasons. First, she’s an amazing mother to our 5 year old son, Jack while also being an amazing wife. In June she graduated with her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. MY WIFE IS A DOCTOR!  She even still, somehow, managed to be a great mom, and keep in touch weekly with her parents and grandparents back home! I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without her.

But, my wife, she definitely deserves to be 2020 Mom of the Year!

//Josh L.

Maria Long

I believe my mom deserves to win mom of the year for many different reasons but the biggest would be that she has been working her hardest to provide everything for my brother and I despite the fact that she’s doing it all alone. She has provided my brother and I with everything we need and more. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to be our mother. Despite all the trauma my family has gone through she pushes past and stays strong for us all.

//Nicole L.

Jan Manley

Jan is a wonderful, kindhearted person. She has two daughters, Ashley and myself. She works as a laboratory technician at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center and spends her time off smiling with her friends and family.

// Lily O.

Laura Glenn

Besides being an amazing mother to 10 year old Milar, Laura is the hardest working person I know. She is a manager at Acme Oyster House, very involved one her church, and involved with numerous local charities. As a single mom she was able to buy a house in Santa Rosa Beach in 2019 so she can stay in this area she loves forever.

//Michael J.

Tiana Bonilla

She is so selfless all the time!! She deserves her time and to be pampered!
